The North-West Regional Program - Digitalization of SMEs, between 10.000-100.000 EUR
This program targets the digital transformation of SMEs in the North-West region, to shape a more competitive and intelligent Europe, by promoting the innovative economic and ICT connectivity regional transformation. Eligible costs include, for example, but are not limited to: the acquisition of hardware ICT, software apps, licenses, AI systems, cybersecurity services, etc..

The objective of this investment is to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises by increasing the digital skills of their employees. Romania wants to specialize its workforce in advanced technological fields. Through this intervention, the aim is both to increase the competitiveness of the labor force and of companies.

The program represents an economic-financial measure to support the development of the energy sector in terms of renewable sources, increase energy efficiency, develop infrastructure for non-polluting road transport vehicles energy, as well as for small and medium-sized enterprises and economic operators in the field of HORECA, by financing investment projects for the installation of photovoltaic panels for the production of electricity necessary for own consumption, recharging stations for electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, as well as an alternative heating/cooling system.

Start-up Nation - the 4th edition, up to 50.000 EUR
The 2024 edition of this programme includes 2 components to advance the development of small and medium sized enterprises. The first one is addressed to young people under 30, who will take part in training courses for entrepreneurial skills. The second part is destined to people aged 30-35, who are interested in setting up their own business.

there is no information available at the moment regarding the application timeline for the above mentioned. In September, the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism las launched the call to select training service providers

Stimulating and supporting the launch and development of private economic structures established by women, the promotion of an information and training system, which facilitates the mobility of women on the labor market and the development of their entrepreneurial skills. Eligible costs include, for example, but are not limited to: the acquisition of tech equipment, salaries, utilities, entrepreneurship courses, digital pack, the creation of e-commerce websites, etc..

Funds from: 90% non-reimbursable funds from the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism + 10% applicant co-financing
PoCIDIF - The creation of an Entrepreneurial Hub (acceleration and business incubation programmes)
Status: In public consultation until the 8th of November 2024 / implementation set to start in January 2025
The hub will provide services dedicated to the facilitators of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Romania (e.g. business incubators and accelerators, investors for start-ups, clusters, etc.) and acceleration programs dedicated to them (with the aim of developing the services offered to start-ups and scale-ups ) to stimulate the sustainable development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem by sharing knowledge in the private sector, start-up access to expertise, capital resources, talents and markets at all stages of their development.
