In the context of Digital Transformation in Mobility & Rail4Climate 2024, EUR 9.0 million is available for this call for tenders. Of this, EUR 4.0 million is allocated to the Digital Transformation in Mobility tender priority and EUR 5.0 million to the Rail4Climate tender priority.

Experimental development company projects are funded. The project objective is a functioning product, process or service - including a digital product, process or service. The "Austrian Life Sciences 2024 to 2026" call for proposals is aimed at all Austrian companies and, in the case of the lead project, in addition to Austrian companies, also at players from university and non-university research, universities of applied sciences and higher technical colleges based in Austria. The participation of foreign partners is possible (depending on the funding instrument). The participation of actors along the entire value chain is required. Companies can submit project content from all technology fields and sectors, as well as cross-cutting topics with topical value, on an ongoing basis. Applications are open to all research topics - from traditional or cutting-edge fields of technology to disruptive/radical innovations (e.g. digitalization, climate, environment, mobility, energy, circular economy, eco-technologies, sustainability, decarbonization, etc.). The transformation towards a sustainable economy is also supported - research and development projects that generate positive climate and environmental impacts in particular and/or take special account of social or economic sustainability goals.
